New Food Labelling Regulation
Recent food labelling legislation changes have been introduced in December 2014 designed to give customers more information about the products they are buying; Kiddylicious have made some changes to the ingredients and nutritional information you find on the back of their packs.
Recent food labelling legislation changes have been introduced in December 2014 designed to give customers more information about the products they are buying; Kiddylicious have made some changes to the ingredients and nutritional information you find on the back of their packs. The main changes relevant to Kiddylicious products are:
- Labelling Clarity – a minimum font size has been set for all mandatory information on most food labels
- Allergen information will have to be provided on all food, for pre-packed foods the allergens will have to be highlighted on the ingredient list
All of Kiddylicious products launched in 2014 comply fully with the new labelling format – Wibble Wobble Jelly Pots, Fruity Puffs, Flying Saucers, Gingerbread Buddies, Ravin’ Raisins and Crispie Tiddlers. Kiddylicious are allowed to run out their old packaging of Fruit Crisps, Fruit Wriggles and Smoothie Melts, and so for a short time you may see a difference between the information on the back of packs and that on the Kiddylicious’ website. The website reflects the most recent nutritional analysis. There are no changes to recipe, so if you are concerned about allergens please be assured that the information you find on pack is correct.
