Bag-in-box specialist Rapak has supplied a latest generation semi-automatic filling machine for the packaging of milk at leading Irish dairy Arrabawn Co-Op. The installation of the new style Autokap marks the filler's first use for a dairy application in Europe. The new Autokap 620 FC Dairy Filler offers a number of enhancements to provide easy maintenance and increased hygiene during the filling process. The completely redesigned filling head is mechanically simpler with fewer moving parts, a reduced number of seals and a modified fill valve, making the machine more durable and increasing its long-term reliability. Equally important, the filler has been designed and manufactured to EHEDG specifications to enable ultra-clean filling of a wide range of products. A choice of filling options is available. Arrabawn is filling the bag inside the box but plastic, stainless steel or roller packaging tables can also be specified for insertion of the bags into boxes after filling. The installation was carried out in association with Rapak's agent in Ireland, Packaging Industries. Rapak is also supplying the bags to provide a complete packaging solution for Arrabawn.
