New Nestle Flavored Milk Products In Alcoa Flexible Packaging Shrink Labels Shake Things Up in Canadian Market
Nestles Coffee-Mate® line of non-dairy creamers, as well as Nestle#s Nesquik®, Rolo® and CoffeeCrisp® Ready-To-Drink (RTD) flavored milk beverages, were recently introduced in the Canadian market.
Nestle's Coffee-Mate® line of non-dairy creamers, as well as Nestle#s Nesquik®, Rolo® and CoffeeCrisp® Ready-To-Drink (RTD) flavored milk beverages, were recently introduced in the Canadian market. Each of these products is dressed in an Alcoa Flexible Packaging shrink label. Alcoa Flexible Packaging, the shrink label manufacturer responsible for the multitude of U.S. Nesquik and Coffee-Mate shrink labels, was a natural choice for this geographic extension. "By being the supplier to the largest line of flavored milk and non-dairy products in the U.S. and by implementing continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process, Alcoa is a proven leader in the printed shrink label industry," stated Terry Copenhaver, Commercial Manager, Alcoa Flexible Packaging. To maintain this status and to service the increasing customer demand, Alcoa Flexible Packaging continually streamlines its manufacturing process with reduced lead-times and increased innovation. The Nestle Canadian products are bottled in HDPE containers with the same unique shapes recognized in the U.S. market. The printing, however, conveys a more unique, hip image, particularly on the Nesquik, Rolo and CoffeeCrisp products. All of the Nestle Canadian shrink labels are rotogravure reverse printed at Alcoa Flexible Packaging#s Downingtown Printing Plant in Downingtown, Pennsylvania using 50 micron PETG film. Alcoa Flexible Packaging, based in Richmond, Virginia, manufactures a variety of packaging materials including extrusion and adhesive laminated pouch materials, overwraps and linerstock, blister lidding foil, thermoformed trays, cable wrap, plastic shrink sleeve body labels, shrink film and laminated foil. These packaging materials serve the world's leading consumer products manufacturers within the pharmaceutical, medical, food & beverage, and flexiblepackaging markets. Alcoa is the world's leading producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina, and is active in all major aspects of the industry. Alcoa serves the aerospace, automotive, packaging, building and construction, commercial transportation and flexiblepackaging markets, bringing design, engineering, production and other capabilities of Alcoa's businesses as a single solution to customers.
