The Dow Chemical Co. (Midland, MI) has introduced a new family of polymers available in 2 resin types. Blox High-Adhesion Barrier resins offer gas barrier, clarity and mechanical strength. Suitable for inclusion in multilayer rigid packaging of oxygen- and carbon dioxide-sensitive beverages such as beer, juice and carbonated soft drinks. Blox Adhesive resins are used in loose-fill packaging and powder coating applications, as well as hot melt adhesives, adhesion promoters and polymer additives.
