New Siebler solution for prefill injection devices
The first delivery of the new Siebler CS 2/200 machine takes place this month. Developed by Romaco to handle the B D Uniject prefill injection device, a product of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), the CS 2/200 will play a role in improving the logistics and efficiency of immunization campaigns in remote and developing countries. The BD Uniject offers the latest technology to eliminate the need for filling syringes from vials or ampoules, provides dosing accuracy to cut down on medication waste, prevents injection device reuse and maintains the vaccine cold chain up to the point of use.

It is a single-use system that delivers the precise amount of medication with a squeeze of the drug reservoir. Once the injection has been given, the device cannot be re-used because the sealed drug reservoir membrane has been broken and a disc valve inhibits refilling. The innovative, award winning design allows for fast and easy injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous or self-injection), while the compact size allows for easy transport, storage and disposal.
