For its Pancake Day promotion, LAS has introduced a 625ml bottle which will retail at £1.69, the same price as the standard 500ml bottle, while still boasting the product’s unique, eco- friendly credentials.
Vickie Rusz, Product Marketing Manager for R.H Amar thinks this is a great deal, “Shoppers who take advantage of this promotion will be able to serve up even more of a pancake treat this coming Shrove Tuesday on March 8, 2011, before the traditionally austere period of Lent begins.”
A Packaging First – Going Green with 100% Biodegradable and Compostable Bottle of Organic Lemon Juice.
Polenghi LAS has delivered a true innovation (summer 2010) with the launch of a 100% biodegradable and compostable bottle for its range of organic Lemon and Lime juices. The bottle is the first of its kind in Europe and has scooped up a number of awards since launch including Trends and Innovations Award at the 2010 SIAL Exhibition.
The bottle represents a real packaging revolution with the bottle, cap and label made from corn to ensure the bottle is completely biodegradable and compostable. Polenghi LAS estimates that the switch to the Eco friendly bottle will conserve 1,000 barrels of Oil and reduces CO2 emissions by 126 tons compared to an equivalent of 10 million oil-based plastic squeeze bottles.
