Nampak has joined forces with Alternapak and has targeted growth in its long life offering throughout Africa.

Alternapak will supply products, technical know-how and support, while Nampak will market the opportunity. The signatories were Jurg Schwarz, a member of Alternapak’s supervisory board, and Philip de Weerdt, a Nampak group executive.
Nampak said its focus has been on fresh milk with a small percentage of hot fill long life juice but identified growing the long life offering in South Africa and the rest of Africa as a priority moving forward.
Alternapak is a supplier of aseptic reels for brick-style packaging in Europe for companies including Arla, Muellermilch and Refresco.
The firm’s aseptic board can be used for long life milk and juice, is supplied in reels and printed and creased for folding on existing filling machines.
