High Resolution Gravure (HRG) – a premium pre-press and printing solution offering as high as 1200 lpi resolution, as opposed to the 150-175 lpi of HD flexo and standard gravure. The technology therefore offers an unrivalled and even sharper print quality than any other flexible packaging print process.

It delivers a superbly consistent print and can be used for all material structures including monoweb, duplex and triplex laminates. When combined with Printpack’s fast track service, HRG offers a speed to market equivalent to current Flexo expectations.

Gravure Fixed Colour Palette (4SIGHT) - The system uses a reduced number of process colours to create a wide ranging colour gamut. The colour book offers designers and marketeers thousands of colours to choose from. Almost any colour can be reproduced using only 4 process colours, plus special colours if required (e.g. for customer’s logo). It’s a proven technology that has been extensively developed by Printpack to achieve an outstanding and exceptionally reliable.

Gravure print service option. Combination of HRG and 4SIGHT is very efficient allowing to maintain strong brand colours and increase shelf presence, while reducing the number of colours used.

ReSeal-It® - innovative format that allows consumers to easily open and reclose the tamper-evident packages, keeping the contents fresher for longer. The system responds perfectly to today’s on-the-go lifestyle, while packs are easy to share, grab and go, and save for later. Not only is it convenient for consumers, but it also retains the excellent quality of the product, which is critical for securing brand identity. Available for horizontal, but also for vertical form fill seal packs (Printpack used ReSeal It® application on VFFS bag for the first time in industry, being recognised with 3 innovation excellence awards, including World Star Award 2013 for Walkers Shortbread bag). The labelling system is pre-applied to packaging material by Printpack and the package is then formed, filled and sealed on customer’s packaging machine, with no additional machinery investment.

Retort structures – responding to the increased demand for shelf stable products, Printpack offers superb retort packaging for product protection, while making it look more appetizing at the same time. Printpack can produce Gravure printed transparent and aluminium based retort structures for food and pet food sectors. When combined with Printpack’s outstanding printing technology the shelf appeal is really superior boosting sales even more. The structure has a good puncture resistance and thermal stability. While being easier to handle within the whole supply chain, retort packaging brings savings in logistics and transportation as well.

Printpack offers highest quality retort structures for Stand up Pouches (premade pouches and pouch material for FFS packaging machines), as well as Retort Lidding. Printpack’s retort structures guarantee high clarity for these products that require showcasing quality through transparent packaging. Thanks to their international locations Printpack is able to deliver holistic solutions including rigid material for cups and trays with retort lidding for them.

High Barrier Packaging - Reliable high barrier packaging secures quality of the product, which builds on consumer’s loyalty for the brand and is crucial to protect its identity. The more demanding product, the more reliable film structure is required to protect it. The packaging needs to deliver high barrier and shelf life expected by the brand owner to ensure taste, structure, flavour and colour of the food remain unchanged. Printpack is able to provide a tailor-made solutions including multilayer structures (with or without Aluminium foil), which offers good runability for all packaging lines. Printpack’s film provides superior seal integrity with improved seal, peel and tear performance.
