Reading Bakery Systems’ high-volume production systems for fabricated baked potato chips can produce between 250 and 1,000 kg of finished product per hour. Its turnkey solutions start by metering and mixing ingredients in its Exact FX continuous mixing system.
The company’s equipment then transports, sheets and cuts the dough before baking and drying the chips in its 2-pass Spectrum oven-over-dryer system. Production volume largely depends on the number of oven sections, and snack manufacturers can add oven zones as their throughput capacities increase.
