Sandvik Process Systems will introduce Rotoform at the 2011 Australian international food processing exhibition, Foodpro organised by Diversified Exhibitions Australia. The Sandvik Rotoform is a specialised granulation process that delivers innovative process solutions for the food industry.
Recognised as one of the best means of delivering pastilles of highly uniform shape, stability and quality in an environment-friendly manner, the Sandvik Rotoform granulation process is increasingly becoming popular within the food industry globally.
Sandvik Rotoform will be showcased for the first time at the Foodpro food exhibition to Australasian food manufacturers and processors. The Rotoform granulation system can be used to make pastilles and micropastilles.
Key features of continuous Sandvik steel and stainless steel belts:
- Can be tailored to develop high performance systems for drying, cooling, freezing, baking and live storage accumulation applications
- Can also be used for conveying applications such as meat cutting lines and in chocolate production
- Inherently hygienic, flat and smooth surface of the belt is impervious, preventing absorption of bacteria, odours or flavours
- Robustness and strength for long lasting performance
- Can be easily cleaned and sterilised
The Sandvik system is used extensively in processing through cooling of food products ranging from fats and emulsions to chocolate and chewing gum base.
Alternatively, the receptive Sandvik stainless steel belt can also be used in the fast tunnel freezing of items such as coffee and tea extract, prawns, fish and fish fillets.
The multipurpose Sandvik dehydration systems offer fast throughput, low bacteriological count and optimum drying cycle profiles with the added benefit of reduced operating costs in the production of high quality dried fruits and vegetables.
Sandvik is a world leader in the supply of steel belt and belt-based processing systems.
The Foodpro 2011 exhibition will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour from Sunday 10 July to Wednesday 13 July.
