SATO America Introduces High-Speed Thermal Ribbon

03/09/07 SATO America, Inc., a provider of barcode printing, labeling, and EPC/RFID solutions, has introduced a new high-speed thermal transfer ribbon. The ribbon, JetWax, is reportedly capable of producing scannable barcodes, sharp images, and human readable text at real-time print speeds of up to 16 inches per second (ips).
JetWax ribbon is compatible with a wide variety of substrates including a select variety of poly materials, and also provides scratch, smear, heat, and water resistance across a wide range of thermal printing applications.
‘JetWax is currently the only ribbon that allows end users to realize the full print speed capability of the new S84 OEM print engines,’ said Curtis Roberts, consumables product manager at SATO America. ‘There are those customers that simply need to maximize existing production line speeds.
