Stora Enso will be showcasing attractive new package designs at ProSweets Cologne 2015. The company is a leading producer of chocolate and confectionery packaging boards in Europe. Paperboard cups with various closures and designs are currently gaining a great deal of interest from brand owners.

Cups for confectionery target the eat-on-the-go lifestyle and are ideal for sharing delicacies with friends. Various cup sizes, closing structures and seasonal designs offer nearly endless opportunities for marketeers who want to drive trends and differentiate their brands. The renewable and recyclable paperboard cup is right on top of one of the megatrends, the increasing focus on sustainability.
“There is room to grow between folding cartons and pouches. With the right material options, skilful manufacturing partners and some creative thinking, we can develop totally new forms and shapes from paperboard, such as our reclosable packaging cups for chocolate, confectionery and snacks,” says Wilfried Schmahl, Segment Development Manager at Stora Enso.
Stora Enso’s wide board offering, including brands such as Performa, Ensocoat, CKB, Tambrite and Cupforma, offers the right choice for each package type. All the boards have their unique properties to cater for the desired print result and special effects, functionality of packaging and quality/cost ratio. The materials are constantly developed in terms of quality and efficiency. Just recently, Stora Enso introduced its CKB board with lower weight, and other new product launches are in the works.
