In commemoration of National Dairy Month in June, Tetra Pak, a leader in sustainable dairy packaging, is encouraging American families to think differently about their dairy consumption habits. To kick off the month-long observance, Tetra Pak has released a 'Daily Dairy' calendar full of nutritional facts and fun tips about milk and its benefit to a healthy lifestyle.
According to the National Institute for Child Health & Development, fewer than one in 10 girls and only one in four boys ages nine to 13 are at or above their adequate intake of calcium. Further, milk only accounts for two percent of all beverages consumed outside the home. To combat this national nutritional challenge, families are invited to visit the website to discover simple solutions to consuming calcium, even while on the go.
