Tisomi launches two new flow wrapping machines at FoodEx 2012

Packaging continues to play an increasingly important role in the presentation of bakery and confectionery products to today’s discerning consumers, and Tisomi’s two new flow wrapping machines in operation on stand J291 at FoodEx 2012 reflect the need for packaging reliability, flexibility and efficiency.

Tisomi has continued to expand over the last two years, and its flow wrapping machines are already used to pack a wide variety of food products in British and Irish companies.

The new Tisomi Mini 400 servo flow wrapping machine is the smallest stainless steel, fully electronic table-top machine currently available in the UK. It offers mid speed performance of up to 60 packs per minute and has been specifically designed for use where floor space is limited. The Mini 400 features a colour HMI touchscreen and product memory, and users benefit from fast and easy product changeovers. There is an option for date code printing, and this machine is expected to be of particular appeal to businesses which manufacture products such as sandwiches, rolls, muffins and flapjacks on a daily basis.

For contract packers and high volume manufacturers of bakery products and sandwiches, the new stainless steel Tuscan 650RJ electronic servo flow wrapper uses the latest technologies to provide a host of user features and benefits, whilst offering output of up to 150 packs per minute. These features include a 650mm wide web handling station, a photo cell for print registration, ‘no product – no bag’, tool-less crimper head height adjustment and an adjustable folding box with fixed product guides, to name but a few.

Peter Miller, who has been closely involved in the design of both machines, believes they will enable the company to significantly increase its user base. Of the new Tuscan 650RJ, he said: “This flow wrapper is the result of nearly two years design and development activity, and I believe that it brings a combination of functionality, reliability, flexibility, speed and cost that sets it apart from the majority of flow wrappers currently on the market.”

Tisomi’s new flow wrapping machines are designed and manufactured for Tisomi in Italy and sold and serviced in the UK by Tisomi’s in-house engineering team. Both machines are supplied with a 12 month warranty, and Tisomi offers a variety of lease-hire and purchase facilities. These new machines join Tisomi’s existing low cost, entry level range of Alpha flow wrappers.
