Packaged in 375ml midneck bottle with a retro label, the amber-brown coloured ale is a heavy (4.6 per cent), all-malt brew. The aroma and palate are mild and there's a little roasted barley character and lasting bitterness. It's easy drinking aimed at mainstream lager drinkers. Original Ale is available at selected pubs and bars nationwide for $5 to $6. Sale in bottle shops will depend on the beer's popularity.
