Trusted hair care range Vosene has launched its biggest product innovation for 15 years in an iconic new bottle from RPC Containers Llantrisant. Vosene has introduced a series of new shampoo variants, more than doubling its offering, to complement the existing range.

Trusted hair care range Vosene has launched its biggest product innovation for 15 years in an iconic new bottle from RPC Containers Llantrisant. Vosene has introduced a series of new shampoo variants, more than doubling its offering, to complement the existing range. The new Vosene bottle design and range was influenced by a quantitative study of 29,000 consumers, giving feedback on formulas, bottle shape and artwork design, carried out by Vosene. As a result of the study Vosene decided to introduce both fresh formulations and a brand new, sleek look, with a bottle to match. The new bottle, created by RPC Design, has been introduced for existing products as well as additions to the range. The HDPE bottles, in 250ml sizes, are shaped to reflect Vosene’s well-known ‘teardrop’ motif and incorporate a pearlescent shimmering effect to highlight the cleanliness associated with the product.

The design also needed to incorporate plenty of space for two labels, front and back, to further enhance the product’s on-shelf appeal. Rob Hunt, sales manager at RPC Llantrisant, says: “An important part of the brief was that not only do Vosene pride themselves on the effectiveness of their products, but the bottle had to look appealing and fresh in the bathroom.” Mark Oldacre, Marketing Manager of Vosene brand owner Lornamead, says: “Many requests were made to the RPC development team and nothing was too much trouble. The response time from RPC was always excellent and deadlines were met, even after we pulled the required target date forward during the project. “This new bottle had to conform to relatively strict height and width specifications and had to be sufficiently robust to withstand the rigours of the supply chain. The relaunched Vosene range reflects fresh, modern looking packaging with an extensive range of products and fragrances perfectly suited to appeal to a wider range of consumers.”
