Weener Acquires Brazilian Molding Activities

For this operation, a new company has been established: Weener Brasil Industria e Comercio de Embalagens Plasticas Ltda. The shares have been transferred in August 2015. These acquisitions are a logical step in Weener’s global expansion strategy, supporting global and local customers with world-class operations, excellent engineering programs and innovative product development. The production site, located in Jaragua, one of Sao Paulo’s 96 districts, employs more than 400 people. Weener sees significant growth potential for its innovative products in the Brazilian market and the factory will play a central role in the company’s growth strategy.
