A Striking New Bottle For The Blackwoods Range

For the first time in five years, Blackwoods has released a new vintage across its spirit range and to mark the occasion, the brand has undergone an enormous packaging overhaul, with elegant new bottles – inspired by the Golden Age of Cocktails.

Blackwoods 2017 Limited Edition over proof gin is inspired by the 60° latitude on which the rugged & enchanting Shetland Islands lie. Our master distiller has carefully crafted our award winning gin to a unique recipe perfected by a select group of bartenders, producing the perfect gin for making great cocktails.

Dan Bolton continues: ‘The involvement of bartenders in finalizing the recipes ensures that Blackwoods is up-to-date in terms of consumer appeal, while evoking the classic age of cocktails in the roaring 1920s. The bottle, which was designed without compromise, perfectly conveys the premium nature of the spirit whilst evoking the shape of old soda siphons, the superb faceting, which is reminiscent of vintage glassware allowing light to beautifully shine through. Blackwoods is the original vintage Gin, made in small batches using a traditional copper pot still, each vintage being subtly different, the flavor being determined by the availability of the handpicked Shetland botanicals.
