Alcan Packaging Bags the Tesco Finest Vegetable Crisps Contract

The decision was the result of a long and trusted relationship between Van Mark Food’s and Alcan, and Alcan’s early involvement, from the design stage of the pack, enabled the company to produce the best possible finished product.

26/07/08 Ahead of the launch of Van Mark Food’s Tesco Finest Vegetable Crisps, produced on behalf of Tesco, Alcan Packaging Cumbria was selected to produce the packs for the new product. The decision was the result of a long and trusted relationship between Van Mark Food’s and Alcan, and Alcan’s early involvement, from the design stage of the pack, enabled the company to produce the best possible finished product.

Eight-colour, flexo printed onto metalised OPP laminate, the pack has been coated with a matt lacquer to increase the premium feel of the product. On-shelf appeal was paramount for the packaging, targeting consumers looking to indulge themselves. This has been achieved thanks to the use of darker colours and the luxury matt look and feel.
