Aluminium China 2026 live: Industry spotlights automated packaging recycling technology
Key takeaways
- Aluminium China 2026 opened in Shanghai, spotlighting packaging and metal recycling technologies focused on automation, emissions reduction, and circular value creation.
- Mayslynn Recycling Industry is showcasing an automated metal container crushing line for chemical packaging.
- Wali Shredder is presenting its WLHM Hammer Mills, designed to crush aluminum beverage cans and electronic waste into recycled materials.
Aluminium China 2026 (July 8-10) has opened its doors to visitors in Shanghai, where the packaging and metal recycling sectors are presenting their latest technologies, focusing on automation and emissions reduction.
RX Greater China, the event organizer, highlights that innovation in the country’s non-ferrous metals market is expanding. RX points out that new materials and production processes are advancing rapidly, while companies across the supply chain are increasingly recognizing the value of innovation.
“When a new material is embedded into the circular value chain of consumer electronics casings or packaging solutions, its value can become perceptible and measurable,” states the organizer.
Balancing safety and efficiency

The production line is designed for the automated recycling and disposal of metal chemical packaging containers, including diesel drums, paint buckets, and oil filter elements.
The recycling line is said to be equipped with an advanced intelligent control system. Operators can monitor the equipment’s status in real time from the control room, improving safety and helping ensure a smooth production process.
“As a latest-generation disposal process and technology, the line offers several advantages, including reduced labor intensity, a high level of automation, high production efficiency, strong overall sealing performance, high production safety, and a clean production environment,” says the company.
Co-creating the future
On the showfloor, Wali Shredder is presenting its WLHM Hammer Mills, designed to crush solid and hard materials across a range of applications, including aluminum beverage cans and electronic packaging waste.
Wali says the materials entering the chamber are crushed by the high-speed hammering, impact, and grinding actions (Image credit: Wali Shredder).
The equipment is developed to reduce material size and separate metals from impurities to produce “high-density, high-purity recycled products.”
At Aluminium China 2026, Wali Shredder aims to gain an “in-depth understanding” of market demands and technical challenges across different regions. “As the aluminum industry continues to move toward lightweighting, greener production, and intelligent manufacturing, Wali is adapting its technologies to meet changing market needs.”
“With core products such as the WLHM Hammer Mills, we provide support from product design to complete production line solutions, helping customers reduce costs, improve efficiency, and support low-carbon operations,” says the company.
