A simple twist action, operates a reverse action cam, which acts as a plunger to break the paperboard disc membrane beneath the cap.

The external thread propels the cap outwards with the disc of board on the end of the screw cap. The multivitamin drink, DrinkVit utilizes this opening on its half-liter cartons.
