The latest aseptic closure, Pure-Cap “U”, dubbed “Twist and Pour”, now eliminates the need for the secondary opening action. The device is, postapplied to the carton following the form, fill, seal process. A simple twist action, operates a reverse action cam, which acts as a plunger to break the paperboard disc membrane beneath the cap.
