Award-winning package design

Deutsch Design Works recently won Double Gold Medals for packaging design at the 2004 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The award-winning design for Shakers Rose vodka, Shakers Rye vodka, and Shakers Original American vodka in 200-ml and 700-ml sizes consists of a frosted glass bottle with a penguin icon.

Deutsch Design Works recently won Double Gold Medals for packaging design at the 2004 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The award-winning design for Shakers Rose vodka, Shakers Rye vodka, and Shakers Original American vodka in 200-ml and 700-ml sizes consists of a frosted glass bottle with a penguin icon. The inspiration for the one-of-a-kind structural and graphic design of the frosted glass bottles came from1930’s art deco icons and cocktail shakers. A foil label and typeface help convey the elegance of the classic art deco shakers. “The double gold medal is the highest recognition and was only given to four companies this year,” says F. Paul Pacult, editor of the Spirit Journal and judging director for the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. “The winning designs are chosen for their high artistic merit and brand-enhancing communication qualities, which are well-represented in each of the Shakers vodka bottles.”
