Bacardi have unveiled a new look for their bottle in Ireland. Following its launch on the international market in October, the new bottle, which is made from Georgia Green glass and has been moulded into a new tapered shape and packaging, reflects the superior quality of Bacardi Rum, whilst highlighting a more contemporary vision of the brand. The idea behind the shape is that it evokes the brand’s premium stature and appeals to a more contemporary audience, while also staying true to the heritage of the Bacardi brand. The new design prominently features a stylized glass embellishment of the Bacardi signature, a mark of quality and craftsmanship, displayed on all Bacardi bottles since 1862. “The new design combines clarity and simplicity, the overall look has been modernised but a lot of the original elements have been retained and enhanced,” said Tiernan O’Morain, Bacardi product group manager with Edward Dillon & Co. Ltd. “Key features such as the Bat symbol and insignia have been highlighted for instant recognition.
