Berry Global combines European businesses for faster product trial and innovation speeds
16 Aug 2023 --- Berry Global is integrating its M&H and PET Power businesses into a Europe-wide operation, Berry Agile Solutions. The portfolio will offer short lead times and enable low minimum order quantities to give customers fast access to company solutions.
The Berry Agile Solutions’ portfolio will also include products from Berry’s B Circular range, which feature enhancements such as recycled content, monomaterial packaging and designs for refill and reuse to help brand owners meet their environmental sustainability goals.
“The launch of Berry Agile Solutions will enable companies with new product trials and smaller businesses to quickly bring their new products and innovations to market,” says Joe Horton, the company’s product line director.
“We have the agility and responsiveness to devise and quickly turn around effective solutions, with customers benefiting from both the design and technical expertise of the Berry Global organization and our in-depth market knowledge of key end-markets. We can also support them in meeting legislative requirements such as the UK Plastic Packaging Tax.”
Berry’s experience will provide a comprehensive end-to-end service from initial concept and design to delivery and fulfillment, including projects with small lot sizes.
Personalized packaging
The company’s in-house experts will work with customers to understand their requirements, identify relevant options and help them select. Berry can produce packs in various colors, including color matching to existing branding.
The company also offers an extensive selection of high-quality decoration options while enabling recycling. This allows packs to be fully personalized to individual customer and product requirements and to meet specific marketing and branding objectives.
In addition, Berry Agile Solutions can supply a range of ancillary items, such as closures and dispensers, to offer a single-source solution to bring products to market quickly.
“Berry Agile Solutions will support customers in helping them to meet consumer demands, delivering the high levels of service and support that our long-term customers have historically experienced in line with our customer promise – ‘Innovation for the world. Solutions for you,’” says Horton.
Last month, the global packaging solutions provider created a range of reusable bottles from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic for UK-based cleaning company The Bio-D Company. Bio-D calculated that the CO2 emissions saved by using 100% PCR bottles are 13 metric tons annually, compared to virgin plastic.
