Box Pouch Capabilities Add to Ampac's Offerings

Ampac’s new offering includes four different box pouch styles for a unique shelf presence that customers can profit from – flat bottom full gusset, flat bottom terminated gusset, pinch bottom, and flat top and bottom.

Sep 16 2011 --- Ampac, a global leader in the retail, food, pet food, and medical packaging markets, has added Box Pouch capabilities with a variety of options to its product offerings. Using the latest Totani pouch converting technology, Ampac now offers variety, efficiency and quality in flexible box pouch packaging.

Ampac’s new offering includes four different box pouch styles for a unique shelf presence that customers can profit from – flat bottom full gusset, flat bottom terminated gusset, pinch bottom, and flat top and bottom. A five-panel display with registered print on front, back, bottom and sides provides both an excellent billboard and improved package presentation with a truly flat pouch bottom.

Pouch efficiencies include better cube utilization during shipping and retail display, as well as better package to product ratio versus bottom gusset pouches. Filling rates become faster because the pouch is wider front to back in comparison to bottom gusset pouches. Additional easy to open and resealable features such as Ampac’s E-Z Zip technology, Quick Zip or traditional press to close zippers can also benefit any box pouch style. Ampac can also offer lower cost “two-up” production on select box pouch formats and sizes including E-Z Zip.

Applications for the box pouch could include foods such as dried fruits, nuts and trail mixes, cereal, rice, confections, baking powders and frozen foods. Non-food Press release applications incorporate lawn and garden, as well as powders such as detergents and nutritional supplements. All packaging from Ampac is available with eye-popping graphics using either high definition flexographic or rotogravure printing.
