Burgen to roll out limited edition packs in support of Breast Cancer Care
Burgen is set to roll out limited edition ‘pink packs’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Burgen is set to roll out limited edition ‘pink packs’ in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The bread brand will be donating 2p from the sale of every loaf sold in October to Breast Cancer Care.
Each special edition pack will feature the Breast Cancer Care’s ribbon logo to highlight the partnership and encourage consumers to donate to the worthwhile cause.
Ellen Bailey, senior brand manager, Burgen said: “As a business, we are always open to opportunities to support causes that we know matter to our consumers. Not only is Breast Cancer Care a great source of expert information and support to men and women across the UK but is also a cause we know loyal shoppers of the Burgen brand hold in high regard. Burgen is the UK’s fastest growing plant bread brand, so we’re hoping the interest in our range will really help to drive support and awareness.”
Sarah Pugh, Head of Corporate Fundraising at Breast Cancer Care said: “We’re incredibly excited to be working in partnership with Burgen for the first time. As well as donating 2p from the sale of every loaf to Breast Cancer Care, Burgen will be supporting a number of other initiatives throughout the year.
“Breast Cancer Care relies on the generosity of companies like Burgen and its support will enable us to continue delivering our vital support services and information to the 50,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year.”
The money raised by Burgen will go towards helping to fund the many vital services that Breast Cancer Care provides for men and women affected by breast cancer such as a free confidential helpline, regional workshops and its monthly Moving Forward seminars and diet & wellbeing sessions.
