The United States Patent and Trademark office issued patent #8,034,925 to Cargill on Oct. 11, 2011. This patent, entitled “GLUCOSAMINE AND METHOD OF MAKING GLUCOSAMINE FROM MICROBIAL BIOMASS,” represents the latest improvements to Cargill’s unique non-shellfish glucosamine production processes.
