All products are packaged in cartons combibloc Small, 200 ml, 712 CFA in a row, with the ability to package up to 12,000 packages per hour. The choice for partnership with SIG Combibloc is justified by the high performance and flexibility of the systems. "SIG works fairly close to the customer - and this caught the attention of the CCGL. Besides filling system and aseptic cartons, we offer training and all the necessary support to ensure that production at its plant flow smoothly and with maximum efficiency. We also work in partnership for the development of your business, market trends pointing and presenting innovations at the right time," says Luciana Galvão, Marketing Manager for South America at SIG Combibloc.
A new line was installed at the company's factory in Cruz Alta (RS). Founded in 1976, the CCGL is today one of the largest cooperatives in Brazil, with three business units, segmented into: development of agricultural technologies, manufacturing and marketing of milk and logistics operations. Its 39 member cooperatives representing 170,000 farms, the 350 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul are one of the priorities of the company's sustainable production, which guarantees superior quality of their products.
As part of its newest business division, the CCGL Lac, in 2008 built a milk processing unit at its headquarters in Cruz Alta. In the first stage of this expansion, the unit is capable of processing up to 1 million liters of milk per day. This is one of the most modern plants in the world in this segment. There are further projects, which can increase up to 6 million liters of milk per day. Another difference is that the main points of milk collection in the region are also close to Cruz Alta, ensuring fast processing and better milk quality since there are no long distances to be covered and the storage period is reduced.
