An industry first cream product has been launched in the UK with a high shelf-appeal shrink sleeve solution from Chadwicks Sleeves.
Innovative manufacturer of shrink sleeves, Chadwicks Sleeves created a 8 colour UV Flexo shrink sleeve to decorate the industry first pourable and re-sealable cream product from the Proper Welsh Milk Company.
Proper Welsh Milk Company chose Chadwicks as a result of their record of quality and reliability and wanted a sleeve product to provide the new product with 360 degree decoration.
Mike Kelly, business development manager at Chadwicks Sleeves, said: “We were looking forward to working on the sleeves for the launch of such a unique product, new product launches are always exciting and this one is a real industry first which we feel very confident will be a success.
“We wanted to produce sleeves which would distinguish Proper Welsh Milk Company’s product from the competition in the cream sector. We were delighted that the decision was made to go with a sleeve solution as it is the best option for a product like this.”
Richard Arnold, Commercial Director at Proper Welsh Milk Company, said: “Chadwicks have really helped us achieve the look and feel we wanted for this product and worked in partnership with Nampack, our bottle supplier to ensure a smooth development process.
“We are very excited about the launch and feel confident of success because of the unique nature of the product. It will help to reduce wastage by introducing a sealable lid to prolong the product’s life whilst eliminating annoying spillage in the fridge. It is the cream product the market has been waiting for.
Chadwicks has more than 50 years of experience in the flexible packaging industry and is a world-leader in pre-cut lid manufacture and a supplier of choice in shrink sleeve production.
Part of the Flexible Packaging Division of the Clondalkin Group, Chadwicks works with its sister company Nyco, a shrink sleeve manufacturer based in Switzerland, to provide a joint service to multi-site European buyers, meaning Chadwicks, together with Nyco, can provide a wider range of print processes including UV flexo, gravure and offset litho.
