ChromaZone®, a thermochromic injection-molding powder, adds a color-changing aspect to plastic packaging. From Davis Liquid Crystals (San Leandro, CA), the pigment can be used in labeling applications, film casting, extrusion, shrink wrapping or for printing onto substrates. At a predetermined temperature, the microencapsulated pigment changes from color to colorless, or to another color. Available in 6 colors.
