ColorMatrix Receives FDA Food Contact Notification for Its HyGuard Technology

ColorMatrix’s HyGuard technology is currently available under licence in Europe through APPE (Artenius PET Packaging Europe) under the brand name “ActiveSeal” for juice applications.

Jan 25 2012 --- ColorMatrix has now received official confirmation from the US Food and Drug Administration that a Food Contact Notification for our HyGuard oxygen scavenging technology has become effective as of the 30th December, 2011.

This important milestone in the commercialization of HyGuard officially permits the use of the technology in standard food and beverage containers, including hotfill applications.

ColorMatrix’s HyGuard technology is currently available under licence in Europe through APPE (Artenius PET Packaging Europe) under the brand name “ActiveSeal” for juice applications.

We anticipate further commercialization of the technology and wider availability in both product applications and geographies during 2012.
