Strathearn, the experimental micro distillery, has recently launched its’ first single malt whisky in a beautiful Extra White Flint glass bottle produced by Allied. For such an important milestone, Allied’s new premium bottle the Newton Tall offered the perfect solution to showcase the prestigious liquid. Strathearn guarantees that every batch of whisky produced from its tiny stills will be unique. Some will be double-distilled; some triple, using a mixture of peated and unpeated malt, as well as a variety of 50-litre casks, including Sherry, rum and Bourbon.
Strathearn Distillery is probably Scotland’s smallest distillery. “We produce a range of spirits including hand-crafted, artisan single cask, single malt whisky by using traditional methods and ideas. We also distil a range of premium gins which are widely marketed across Scotland and beyond.”
Tony Reeman Clark of the Strathearn Distillery says: “We are immensely proud of our first whisky, the quality of the unique spirit coupled with the stunning new packaging creating the perfect tribute to the heritage of Scotch whilst celebrating the exhilarating journey we have embarked upon at the distillery.” Sold by auction, tremendous interest was shown in the first 100 bottles of the 3 year old spirit, the highest bid being a staggering £4,150.00.
