Lion Precision has released a new dual sensor for overwrap applications. The LRD7100 simultaneously detects presence/absence of tear tape and splices in overwrap film. It employs 2 different sensor technologies: an electronics module and separate sensor head to allow access to the small areas where the sensing must take place. Sensor is ideal for the CD, tobacco, and packaged food markets.
