NEW speciality films for the confectionery industry have been rolled out by UCB Films, of Wigton Propafilm RGR02 is said to eliminate the need for a release lacquer to be applied, and can be reverse printed before lamination to a white or metallised film. The film acts as the printed release web of the laminate structure, while the laminate partner carries the cold seal adhesive.

RVP film, a new 15 micron, ultra-high barrier biaxially oriented PP in the re-engineered Propafoil metallised film range, is said to be "especially good for protecting hygroscopic products, such as wafer biscuits, honeycomb candy and cereal bars".
