Flip-top closures

In an effort to put a lid on product tampering, the co. recently expanded its line of tamper-evident flip-top closures for vitamin and nutritional supplement bottles. The LDPE hinged caps feature a wraparound band seal, with a pull-away tab designed to reveal attempted access to the package. The flip-tops also come with an internal liner that transfers to the bottle's orifice by an induction process.

n an effort to put a lid on product tampering, the co. recently expanded its line of tamper-evident flip-top closures for vitamin and nutritional supplement bottles. The LDPE hinged caps feature a wraparound band seal, with a pull-away tab designed to reveal attempted access to the package. The flip-tops also come with an internal liner that transfers to the bottle's orifice by an induction process. The band also replaces external shrink sealing, meaning significant savings in packaging costs for customers, the co. says. The flip-tops are offered in five sizes (33, 38, 45, 53 and 58 mm). In addition, 33- and 38-mm sizes are available without a liner (known as a "Jay Cap" style).
