The latest model in the range, Sidel’s SF Select GWm, incorporates the latest developments in hygiene and security to create a filler built to meet dairy industry requirements.Simple concept: one weight, one measurement Gravity liquid filling by weight measures the net weight of the product to be filled. Each filling station is equipped with an electronic balance that takes the bottle weight into consideration. Once the filling set-point is reached, the product flows by gravity into the package. Pneumatic actuators control opening and closing of the filling valves. After filling, the system checks to automatically make any necessary adjustments, which guarantees unparalleled accuracy. Filler built to 3-A standard for dairy industry In early 2005, Sidel launched its SF Select GWm (gravimetric weight for milk) filler, a machine that meets the requirements for packaging dairy products. It is suitable for packaging pasteurized, ESL (30 days) and sterilized products and meets current FDA standards for food industry equipment: the 3-A standard in the US and the EHEDG (European Hygienic Equipment Design Group) standard in Europe. This means that it meets the dairy industry’s criteria for quality and hygiene during production.
