Greiner Packaging unveils square cup to boost branding and space efficiency
Greiner Packaging has launched a square cup that saves space and offers improved brand visibility on shelf.
The Cubo cup is square but has rounded edges to “streamline processes, conserve resources, and showcase products on the shelf.”
Greiner says that the container’s square shape offers optimal stacking capabilities. The packaging provider reports that up to 35% more cups fit on a single pallet, reducing warehouse space requirements, increasing transport efficiency, and lowering CO2 emissions.
The company points out that conventional round-shaped cups often spin around on shelves, limiting brand visibility.
However, the Cubo can offer greater brand awareness. Its angular shape makes it stable on shelves, and its flat surface provides space for further branding, design, and product development.
The packaging solution can be made from various materials, such as PP, PET, or recycled PET (rPET), catering to different brand requirements. It also supports in-mold labeling and cardboard-plastic combinations.
Recently, Greiner launched two sealing lid solutions, Click On and Click In, to enhance product protection and provided Orthomol with rPET packaging solutions for dietary supplement vials.
