Tosca presents reusable display alternative to cardboard for FMCG sector
Tosca has released the Crystal Clear reusable display as an alternative to single-use cardboard displays for in-store packaging. The solution is said to offer greater durability, product protection, handling, and in-store execution.
Tosca says Crystal Clear maintains its primary purpose of enhancing product visibility, communicating key offers directly to shoppers at point of sale (POS), encouraging impulse purchases, and improving sales.
The solution is said to have a clear background, giving brands space to cover it with marketing and design choices.
It is manufactured from durable, hygienic plastic, providing a modular platform that combines a standardized structure for operational and cost efficiency with full customization capabilities.
“In today’s retail landscape, with mounting pressure from regulators, retailers, and consumers, sustainability has become a core business driver,” says Laurent Le Mercier, president at Tosca EMEA.
“With the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and EPRs putting reuse at the center of the packaging conversation, the time for sustainable retail transformation on the sales floor is now.”
“Tosca’s reusable displays can help major brands transform their POS campaigns, streamline their supply chains, eliminate packaging waste, achieve cost savings, and meet packaging regulations with confidence. It’s a smart switch with clear environmental, promotional, and commercial benefits.”
Compliance and cost savings
Tosca points out that the upcoming PPWR and EPR regulations make reuse “a business imperative,” meaning reusable displays such as Tosca’s Crystal Clear solutions are typically exempt from EPR fees, offering compliance and cost savings.
The Crystal Clear displays are available with Tosca’s pooling service solution, allowing the units to be tracked, maintained, and made ready for use when needed and on the shop floor in time for POS promotions.
According to the company, switching from single-use cardboard displays to Crystal Clear can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 70%, with savings of 400–600 kg of CO2 equivalent.
Tosca says that the Crystal Clear displays have a high load capacity of up to 36 kg per shelf, making them suitable for various products, including beverages and other heavy goods. They have a quick-deploy and foldable design aimed at improving efficiency.
