Healey’s Cyder Unveils Rattler Rebrand
13 Mar 2013 --- Cornwall’s favourite cyder brand has undergone a major transformation as it prepares to take a bite out of the UK cyder market. Award-winning producer Healey’s Cyder has unveiled a new label for its best-selling Rattler brand, supported by the new strapline ‘Chill it. Sip it. Love it.’ The new livery is rolling out across bottles of Rattler Original, Rattler Pear and Rattler Berry cyders from the end of February.
The Rattler cyder range is named after a variety of Cornish apple, ‘The Rattler’ and the fresh and contemporary new branding builds on this association. The livery now features an apple illustration that incorporates the distinctive Rattler ‘bite’. In-pub draught branding has also been updated with the new look, including lenses, bar runners and glassware.
The rebrand is one of the first changes implemented by Joe Healey, head of commercial, since his return to the family business at the end of last year. Since then Joe has been working closely with his brother Sam Healey, Head of Operations, on a range of initiatives to drive distribution and continue the unrivalled success of Rattler.
Joe Healey comments; “The introduction of our new branding is just one element of a year of development and innovation behind Rattler. 2013 has already seen a new website and going forward will include new products and a new festival and events programme. The Healey family has big ambitions for the Rattler brand and we are keen to develop both new and existing route to market opportunities for our draught and packaged Rattler.”
Rattler Cyder is a premium Cornish cloudy cyder with a fresh, crisp distinctive taste. Since its launch six years ago, bottled Rattler has secured national distribution with J D Wetherspoon, listings with all the major multiples, as well as distribution at Booker Wholesale outlets throughout the South of England. The brand is also available on draught in some 750 pubs throughout the South West.
Healey’s Cyder Farm is currently featuring on Cornwall with Caroline Quentin, the ITV1 prime time series.
