Igus unveils new E3 Energy Chain cable carrier: a low-cost low-noise solution

Igus Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of Energy Chain ® all-polymer cable carriers, today unveiled its latest design ingenuity, the System E3 Energy Chain. New System E3 combines the best features of two series of igus cable carrier into one cost-effective package.

Igus Inc., the industry-leading manufacturer of Energy Chain ® all-polymer cable carriers, today unveiled its latest design ingenuity, the System E3 Energy Chain. New System E3 combines the best features of two series of igus cable carrier into one cost-effective package. System E3 sports the short pitch design of the System E6 product line for smooth, quiet operation and low vibration even at high speeds. System E3 also encompasses the traits of another money-saving Energy Chain, the “Zipper” series of igus cable carriers. System E3 is comprised of three pieces, a link, spring connector strip and opening zipper. With a zipper design, the link closes on the outer radius for fast, easy cable access and installation. System E3 is very light-weight and compact. It is designed for smaller E-Chain applications such as drawer slides, enclosures, pick and place robots and in industries including printing, clean room, medical and semi-conductor. It is currently available in three sizes: 10, 15 and 22 millimeter inner height.
