International Paper Introduces a Food Safety Tracking Feature to its ReadyFill IBC System

15/09/06 As food manufacturers work to meet tracking and tracing requirements associated with the Food and Drug Association's Bioterrorism Act, International Paper is making their job easier with the introduction of its food safety feature – ReadyFill Tracking System (RTS) – to its ReadyFill IBC System. By packaging liquid food ingredients in ReadyFill IBCs with RTS, food manufacturers can track their products in real-time and access their data any time of day or night through this internet-based system.

With the new RTS feature, ReadyFill IBCs are equipped with unique identifiers embedded in durable bar-codes and product is tracked through an integrated hardware and software program. Information regarding the complete package – structure, liner and pallet – is traced along the life cycle of the shipment. The RTS reporting system provides metrics to support tracking history and container management, including end-user cycle times and inventory. Data is easily downloaded and formatted into different systems, and reports can be customized and edited to meet any customer specific needs.
