Introducing Method And Madness In A Stunning Bottle From Allied Glass

Irish Distillers has recently introduced a new range of experimental super premium whiskies in an innovative hexagonal shaped Extra White Flint glass bottle manufactured by Allied Glass. Irish Distillers has recently introduced a new range of experimental super premium whiskies in an innovative hexagonal shaped Extra White Flint glass bottle manufactured by Allied Glass. Inspired by the masters and apprentices working side by side at the new Midleton micro distillery, One of the oldest and most iconic distilleries in the world. The brand identity conveys the sense of fun and excitement when tradition and innovation are combined. It therefore uses two opposing patterns throughout the packaging, the straight lines symbolizing method and order, while the stunning marbled patterns reference madness and liquid experimentation.

The beautiful bespoke bottle, designed by M&E Design, has none of the usual visual cues of a whisky yet perfectly demonstrates how glass can be used in an innovative way as a vessel for ambition, style and sophistication. Crafted to celebrate the liquid inside and the process behind its creation, the design takes its cues from laboratory glassware found in the micro-distillery and the panelling of a whisky cask. It was also shaped so that it could refract and bounce light, the side panel embossing producing a Kaleidoscope of patterns within the body of the bottle, bringing Method and Madness together.

The unique bottle is also adorned by a range of eye-catching, hand designed labels. Each label is divided into three distinct parts: The first, an ordered pattern to represent ‘method,’ the middle panel showcases the logo and the third, a marbling pattern created to represent ‘madness.’ The Method and Madness range includes four new Irish whiskies, each with its own twist; a Single Grain Irish Whisky Finished in Virgin Spanish Oak, a Single Pot Still Irish Whisky finished in French Chestnut, a Single Malt Irish Whisky enhanced by French Limousin Oak and a 31 Year Old Single Cask, Single Grain Limited Edition bottled at cask strength.
