At Emballage 2012 Ishida Europe's Torsten Giese demonstrated the company's impressive new linear multihead weigher, which has been designed for the high speed weighing of high-value, small target weight applications – as little as 3g - such as coated nuts and confectionery.
In addition, the linear arrangement of the product transfer allows very precise product flow control. This makes the weigher ideal for applications where weigh counting is required to achieve a specific number of pieces in the pack.
Top speed for the 12-head model is 100 wpm per side alternatively discharging into a packaging machine (so effectively 200 wpm).
Part of the advanced Ishida R series of multihead weighers, the CCW-R-112PL features the advanced Ishida technology – including Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), a high speed 5-stage digital filter, and a new combination calculation algorithm using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Technology - that delivers high speeds, excellent accuracy and efficiency levels close to 100%.
The weigher is one of several models from Ishida Europe which have been specifically developed for the fast and accurate weighing of small target weights. The alternative designs of the CCW-R Linear and CCW-R Small Hopper multihead weighers maximise the number of products that the weighing machines can handle and enable Ishida to tailor a solution each time to precise customer requirements.
