Klockner Pentaplast Group Acquires Indian Production Capabilities
The kp Group is following its expansion strategy in Asia and subsequent to the recent capacity expansion in Thailand is now addressing the growing demand for pharmaceutical and specialty films in India with local production capabilities.
19/04/07 The Klöckner Pentaplast Group is pleased to announce the asset acquisition of the Gwalior/Malanpur, India, PVC films and sheet production from Supreme Industries Limited (Mumbai, India). The kp Group is following its expansion strategy in Asia and subsequent to the recent capacity expansion in Thailand is now addressing the growing demand for pharmaceutical and specialty films in India with local production capabilities.
With these assets and a current production capacity of 10000t/ p.a., Supreme Industries will now manufacture product for the Klöckner Pentaplast Group within a toll manufacturing agreement and according to global kp Group manufacturing and quality standards.
The Indian sales company of Klöckner Pentaplast, kp India, will suitably integrate the Supreme Industries sales network in the PVC films market segments, to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality service to all existing customers.
Pharmaceutical and Specialty Films Capacity in India

We have therefore set up a sales company in India in 2006 and are now following up with local production capabilities. This new added capacity will enable us to continue to support our customers’ growing demand for pharmaceutical films, as well as other specialty films, which we are now able to produce locally in India,” notes Joachim Kreuzburg, president of Klöckner Pentaplast/Europe and Asia.
