Landor Associates Creates Packaging for Crystal Light Limited Edition Mocktails Flavors

7/8/2011 --- Landor Associates, a brand consulting and design firm, announced the launch of their package design for the new Crystal Light limited edition Mocktails in Appletini, Margarita, and Mojito flavors.
This new product line is available nationally until Labor Day 2011, offering consumers the opportunity to kick off the summer right with the spirit of fun and festivity. Mocktails offer a wonderful alternative to popular summer beverages by combining great taste and low calories, allowing you to enjoy the familiar flavors without feeling like you've fallen off track.
Landor began working with the Crystal Light design team to bring this new product to life with an idea inspired by the celebration and refreshment associated with these classic cocktail flavors. The result is a sunny personality synonymous with the enjoyment that expresses the spirit of these flavored beverages and the joy of sharing them with friends. Landor's solution incorporates a vibrant, lively graphic pattern and custom color palette for each flavor. In order to increase appetite appeal, the packaging's visual elements features the fruits used to create the flavors, springing forth from the classic glasses the drinks are served in.
"We're extremely proud of the special edition packaging we've completed for Crystal Light," said Dave Ball, associate client director at Landor. "Being easily inspired by these traditional summertime flavors, we were all able to come up with multiple concepts that illustrated the whimsy and joy it inspires, while highlighting the ingredients featured in each flavor."
To complement the new Crystal Light offering, Landor also created a visual identity system that supports the new packaging and off-shelf displays for special places throughout retail outlets. Combined with amazing flavors like Appletini, Margarita, and Mojito, the design elements in this limited edition Crystal Light Mocktails line create a powerful statement, hoping to inspire consumers to grab their friends, mix up a pitcher, and create new memories.
Since being introduced around Memorial Day, Mocktails sales were double initial estimates and the brand has been able to secure placement well beyond the powdered beverage aisle and within summer sections of key retailers across the United States.
