Liquid colorants

A line of liquid colorants and a UV absorber for PET have been introduced by Milliken Chemical (Spartanburg, SC). ClearTint™ colorants and Clearshield™ UV absorber are FDA-compliant and nonparticulate. ClearTint can be used in packages for carbonated soft drinks, water, beer, and others.

ClearTint™ colorants and Clearshield™ UV absorber are FDA-compliant and nonparticulate. ClearTint can be used in packages for carbonated soft drinks, water, beer, and others. ClearShield absorbers are transparent and colorless, providing protection against color, taste, and nutrient damage caused by UV light. Absorbers can be added to PET by the resin manufacturer or added separately during the injection molding of the preform.
