Luxe Pack 2021: Sappi to showcase Fusion Nature Plus fiber liner for premium printing
30 Aug 2021 --- Luxe Pack is making its return after a year’s absence due to COVID-19 on September 27-29, 2021, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Sappi is set to showcase its new Fusion Nature Plus fiber liner for “excellent” printing results in flexographic, digital, and offset printing processes.
Fusion Nature Plus is an uncoated, fully bleached and fully recyclable virgin fiber liner, based on the concept of the successful Fusion Topliner.
Unlike the double-coated Fusion Topliner, Fusion Nature Plus has a natural, uncoated surface with a more tactile feel in response to the growing market for this product, Sappi says. The liner is also provided in very low grammages.
E-commerce potential
Brands searching for transport packaging for their e-commerce solutions often seek to improve visual options and guarantee an enhanced unpacking experience.
Sappi believes it has delivered the solution with an uncoated, fully bleached, and 100 percent recyclable virgin fiber liner, which excels with “outstanding printability” in flexo, digital and offset printing.
This “outstanding printability” is achieved through the paper’s high whiteness, exceptional color reproduction and consistent high quality.
Sappi indicates its fiber liner is ideal for packaging made of corrugated or solid board where a bright white appearance is required for top liners, inner liners and fluting.
Fusion products are also ideal for producing high-quality paper bags.
Algro Design
The packaging and specialty paper supplier will also be exhibiting its high-quality paperboard product Algro Design, ideally suited for premium brand communication by virtue of its silky surface.
“Algro Design has been the pulpboard of choice for premium packaging and graphic applications for more than a decade,” says Sappi.
“It sets itself apart with vivid color reproduction, high contrast and outstanding runnability. The Algro Design portfolio delivers truly exceptional optical results and very high precision in printing, finishing and further processing.”
Depending on the type, the reverse side may be uncoated, single- or double-coated.
“At the Sappi stand, visitors will be able to see for themselves how packaging made with this innovation leader’s premium products can stand out at the point of sale – and command customer attention,” the company adds.
Sappi can be found at the Luxe Pack 2021 at Indigo Hall, Stand 102.
PackagingInsights visited Sappi during its “virtual interpack” last year, where it presented its newest specialty papers to over 1,500 registered online participants via live webinar sessions and chat boxes.
In other Sappi developments, the supplier recently partnered with HP Indigo on paper soup pouches and Syntegon Technology to create paper-based confectionery packaging.
