Major Japanese Companies Invest in Moldflow Plastic Insight
MPI is the world’s most widely used plastics CAE software for the in-depth analysis of the injection molding process and it can be used to predict and solve potential manufacturing problems before they are encountered in a production environment.
0/03/07 Moldflow Japan K.K., a subsidiary of Moldflow Corporation, the leading provider of design through manufacturing solutions for the plastics injection molding industry, announced that four leading Japanese companies purchased Moldflow Plastics Insight. Nidec Corporation, a maker of fan and motors, Tsuda Kagaku Gousei Co., Ltd., a connector manufacturer, Asahi Polyslider Co., Ltd., a medical device manufacturer and Yoshida Technoworks Co., Ltd., an electronic appliance producer, have all recently invested in MPI, allowing each to further optimize their plastics injection molding design-to-manufacture process. MPI is the world’s most widely used plastics CAE software for the in-depth analysis of the injection molding process and it can be used to predict and solve potential manufacturing problems before they are encountered in a production environment.
Yuji Tamesada, Factory Director of Asahi Polyslider Co., Ltd., states, “Today’s product lifecycles are short, not only in the automotive and consumer-electronics industry but also in the medical industry. Therefore, it is increasingly more important for manufacturers to reduce product development times and deliver quality products to the market as soon as possible. Our decision to introduce MPI allows us to perform reliable and accurate analyses in order to optimize and validate mold cooling circuit layouts and avoid molded part warpage - all during the design phase.”
Seiji Kajiya, Vice President of Sales for Moldflow Japan comments, “We appreciate that our customers have chosen MPI over other plastics injection molding analysis software and that they are experiencing shorter product development cycles and manufacturing cost reductions. Considering that Moldflow products are the world’s most widely used for plastics simulation, our customers can be confident that we will continue to provide innovative, technologically advanced and reliable solutions that add value to their processes.”
