Major Presence for RPC at Ipack-IMA
Extended shelf-life, effective product protection, maximum convenience and optimum brand display are some of the many benefits of the variety of packs on display from companies from the RPC Group at Ipack-Ima.
Highlights from RPC Superfos include its recently-launched EasySnackingTM pot, which meets the growing trend for eating on-the-go. The lid contains a spoon, which is smooth, softly shaped and extremely easy to get hold of. It is also in one piece so there is no need for bothersome assembling. EasySnackingTM is available in two sizes (210 ml and 300 ml), with the bigger version including room for a crunchy topping in the lid.
A variety of packs incorporating a high-tech oxygen barrier for extended ambient shelf life will also be on display. For foodservice products, RPC Superfos offers its SuperLift® and SuperFlex® containers, while SuperLock® provides an ideal solution for the retail sector. Another food packaging solution on show will be SuperLightTM, a thin wall pack (TWP) that is particularly suitable for dairy products. Packs for non-food include LongLifeTM, an innovative solution for wet pet food and the proven Paintainer, popular among both professional and DIY painters.
RPC Corby will showcase its latest ISBM (Injection Stretch Blow Moulding) technology that enables it to offer its established high barrier PP/EVOH/PP containers with even greater transparency. Ideal for products such as cook-in sauces, instant coffee, ready meals, fruits baby foods and dressings, packs offer the highest clarity for a premium on-shelf image along with the practical, convenience and safety benefits of plastic.
Also on show will be examples from the site’s extensive ranges of multilayer foodservice jars in a wide choice of sizes up to 4 litres, offering an extended ambient shelf life for many different products including olives, pickles, pesto, sauces, fruits and vegetables.
A recent launch from RPC Packaging Gent will be on display. RPC Protect® is the company’s barrier solution for its large blow moulded containers up to 30 litres, which provides an effective barrier against solvent-based products, offering a safe and efficient transport solution for a wide range of chemical, agrochemical and fuel products. It is also approved for food use.
In addition, RPC Emballages Montpont will show an enhanced version of its market-leading 5 litre UN approved co-ex container for petroleum and chemical products. While the new design retains its combination of robust reliable performance and on-shelf appeal, its increased compression resistance and its compatibility with even more filling lines make it an attractive all-round 5 litre packaging solution for many applications.
Another restyled container on display will be the 1 litre Pool bottle, part of RPC Montpont’s small barrier bottle range for the agrochemical industry. Featuring a tamper-evident Flexband neck, the bottle can be specified in both co-ex and monolayer versions.
Visitors to the RPC stand can also see a demonstration of the online tool TurnAvisual which makes the creation of artwork design much easier and quicker than doing it the traditional way. In addition, at the WorldStar ceremony being held at Ipack-Ima, RPC Superfos will officially receive its two WorldStar awards for the bespoke version of its SuperLock® pot used for sliced salami and the innovative ergonomically-designed HalfMoonTM pack.
