Markem Receives Sony Green Partner Certification

Markem has continually demonstrated our commitment to the environment, having met the CONEG (Coalition of New England Governors) requirements over 10 years ago, and again by reformulating our inks to remove pigments containing heavy metals and certain other materials.

Markem has continually demonstrated our commitment to the environment, having met the CONEG (Coalition of New England Governors) requirements over 10 years ago, and again by reformulating our inks to remove pigments containing heavy metals and certain other materials. The latest demonstration to this commitment was to become a qualified Sony Green Partner. Becoming a Sony Green Partner required that we pass their rigorous on-site audit and that we maintain our quality system to eliminate raw materials and contamination by those chemicals listed in the Sony Technical Standards, SS-00259. Inks are routinely tested for controlled and banned substances listed in SS-00259 and heavy metal test data is available upon request to Markem customers.
